Fifteen years. One man, one machine.
A not-for-profit roastery.
Funding men's mental health in Australia.
Fifteen years in the making. One man, one machine, one audacious belief — that the right cup of coffee, at the right moment, can remind you who you are.
The world has enough roasters. It doesn't have enough quiet.
Cup in hand. World on pause. We tailored something to hold that space.
Most coffee is made for everyone. This one's created just for you.
Some mornings deserve more than routine. This is that.
Based in Queensland on a picturesque island with my daughter, spending most of my life in a shed pulling things apart to find out how they work. I got an engine running on my own when I was about 12. I've been chasing that feeling ever since.
This machine took fifteen years. I spent ten of them failing to learn the software I'd need to design it, then I had someone lined up to get that sorted who never delivered. So I learned it myself. Every tedious line.
It does one thing that no other roaster does: it roasts for one person at a time. You tell me how the cup landed — good, bad, or not quite; and the next one moves toward you. Not toward what I think good coffee is. Toward what your palate says is right.
That's the whole idea. I've had long stretches where nobody asked me how I was going, and I know what ten quiet minutes with something made special is worth.
It's why this is a not-for-profit.
Ten minutes is a small thing, until it isn't.
So that's what I'm making. One bag at a time, for one hundred people.
Founding members are invited into something unprecedented. Your journey begins with two distinct roasts, delivered in 500g bags; each one an expression of the founder's passion, the human soul that drives the AI in real time. Your palate becomes the compass and your honest critique shapes every roast that follows. This is not a purchase; this is an invitation to sit at the table where the gold standard is being set.
